Alejandro Maldonado – Artistic Profile

Alejandro Maldonado is a Mexican artist and visual communicator based in the United States, whose creative work is rooted in his deep connection with triathlon. With a background in graphic design, Alejandro began his career designing promotional materials for the Mexican Triathlon Federation in the early 1990s, which led him to discover photography as an essential medium for documenting sport. In 2006, he debuted as a painter with a successful solo exhibition at the Triathlon Expo in Veracruz. His multidisciplinary work includes watercolor, acrylic, printmaking, and digital art. He has exhibited in Cancún, Cozumel, Veracruz, Huatulco, and Washington, D.C., and his pieces are part of private collections in over 15 countries. Through his Triathlon-Art project, Alejandro continues to create and exhibit work that celebrates athleticism, perseverance, and the global triathlon community.
